Final Presentation

Expectations

PART A (PRESENTATION) -- about 25 mins.

  • Each and every team member is to speak for a minimum of three minutes (NOT less, more is ok).
  • Demo DOES NOT count as part of the speaking part of the assignment.
  • Presenters are to sequence and NOT INTERLEAVE.

  • This is a formal presentation and so expect formal wear and a neat appearance. Wear the same as you would for an interview for a job.

  • Presenters MUST state their first name AND last name clearly when they start.
  • Presenters MUST NOT read off slides. Keep a count on your finger of the five or ten things you have to speak about. No cue cards are allowed.
  • Presenters must make eye contact with audience members.
  • Slides must be
    • readable -- use a minimum of 24 size font for normal text.
    • DO NOT CLUTTER - i.e. not too many words on each slide.
    • make use of graphics/pictures/tables.
  • Slides must address the following:
    • WHAT is the problem being addressed? (not history or genesis of the idea).
    • Business Canvas Model -- if done.
    • HOW - in terms of design challenges/issues, choices, and how addressed <<MAJOR>>
    • HOW - in terms of software development practices and tools used. <<MAJOR>>
    • WHAT all was done? Group into MAJOR accomplishments and Minor parts. Which parts of the work does your team feel proud of? <<MAJOR>>
    • Short slide on challenges encountered.
    • Summary of Contributions of each team member (do this on ONE slide towards the end).

PART B (PHYSICAL  DEMO) -- 10-15 MINUTES

  • Short physical Demonstration followed by Q/A.
  • Have everything ready for the DEMO before you start your presentation.
  • We will go over your code. Please be ready to explain to us each part and who worked on which part.
  • A few teams will need equipment etc -- for those teams, we will arrange a separate time where we will VISIT the lab/site where you want to do the demo for us. For example, we would like to actually see the road roughness measurement box, the Raspberry PIs for the O/S project, etc.

Your team MUST upload your final presentation slides and a short video of your project DEMO to your site.

DO REHEARSE YOUR PRESENTATION. We want you to make a polished final presentation.
